Bobsleigh er en begivenhed i vinter-OL, hvor et to- eller firemandshold kører en specialdesignet slæde ned ad en isbane, hvor det vindende hold gennemfører ruten med den hurtigste tid. Begivenheden har været præsenteret siden de første vinterlege i 1924 i Chamonix , Frankrig , med undtagelse af 1960 -spillene i Squaw Valley, da organisationsudvalget besluttede ikke at bygge et spor for at reducere udgifterne. Bortset fra denne undtagelse er firemandsstævnet blevet deltaget i hver kamp (i 1928 var det en fem-mands konkurrence). To-mandsbegivenheden blev introduceret ved Lake Placid-spil i 1932, og en to-kvinde-begivenhed blev først bestridt ved OL i Salt Lake City 2002 .
