Three time winner – should Chennai Super Kings be written before Mumbai Indians in the infobox (in the "Most successful" field)?[edit]

An IP editor, presumably a Chennai Super Kings fan, has been preferring to write the name of Chennai Super Kings before Mumbai Indians. My view, as mentioned in my edit summary, is that Mumbai Indians became three-times winner before Chennai Super Kings, and therefore it makes editorial sense to write the name of Mumbai Indians before Chennai Super Kings. Of course, if next year, Chennai wins the title the fourth time, Chennai's name should rest singularly in the box. However, being equal winners with Mumbai Indians, I would tend to think that Mumbai's name should currently rest ahead of Chennai's. Any list documenting records should be editorially written in a sequential timeline (e.g. as you can see in List of maximum breaks). I would believe that would apply here too. I'm amenable to changing my view though, given pertinent views. Thanks, Lourdes 19:13, 31 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

More explanation required with respect to some teams[edit]

Some teams like Rising Pune Supergiant and Gujarat Lions have no detail written in the introduction. We need to add at least a line mentioning when these teams went defunct. Lourdes 08:30, 30 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
