Hi there,

I'm worried that your section on sire lines is getting too big to fit in the Kentucky Derby article, and the added detail is actually providing casual readers with LESS information due to overload. A sire line is generally a large number of horses tracing to a notable sire - we don't need to get into the weeds with things like the so-called Billet branch with one horse in it. Why talk about Sickle when all the horses in the branch trace to his far more notable grandson Native Dancer? I have NEVER heard anyone refer to the Bona Vista sire line; people always refer to Phalaris. I don't understand breaking down the Native Dancer branch and not breaking down the Nasrullah branch. I suggest keeping it simple as it was before the latest round of edits or create a separate article.

Also, please avoid using pedigreequery as a reference. It's open source so does not generally meet Wiki standards. Equineline should be used for pedigree references. Jlvsclrk (talk) 02:50, 22 May 2021 (UTC)
