Christiane Paul er chefkurator/direktør for Sheila C. Johnson Design Center på Parsons School of Design og lektor på School of Media Studies på The New School og adjungeret kurator for New Media Arts på Whitney Museum of American Art i New York City. Hun er kendt som forfatteren til bogen Digital Art , en del af World of Art Series udgivet af Thames & Hudson .

Uddannelse

Paul modtog både sin MA og ph.d. fra universitetet i Düsseldorf i Nordrhein-Westfalen , Tyskland.

Karriere

Paul har skrevet meget om digital kunst og holdt foredrag internationalt om kunst og teknologi .

Paul har tidligere undervist i MFA computer arts afdeling på School of Visual Arts i New York (1999–2008); Digital+Media Department på Rhode Island School of Design (2005–08); den San Francisco Art Institute og Center for New Media ved University of California i Berkeley (2008).

I 2016 modtog Paul Thoma Foundation Arts Writing Award in Digital Art for en etableret kunstskribent, der har ydet betydelige bidrag til skæringspunktet mellem kunst og teknologi. I 2018 var Paul taler ved Chicago New Media Symposium, der blev afholdt som en del af Chicago New Media 1973–1992 -udstillingen. Udstillingen blev kurateret af jonCates.
